Cindy Daniel

SHED

Cindy Daniel and Doug Lipton, her husband and business partner, are the founders of SHED in Healdsburg, California. In 2010, the two felt a calling to launch a business that expressed their shared values for community, land stewardship, and sustainable education. The SHED mission to promote and celebrate good farming, good cooking, and good eating was realized in 2013 when the pair opened the café, housewares and garden store, food market, and modern community grange in 2013. In 2014, with Cindy as the lead interior designer, SHED won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant Design. As CEO, Cindy oversees the company of 100+ employees as it expands its online business, develops its own line of products, and serves the community. As the creative director, Cindy curates all the products sold at SHED, selecting items that reflect provenance, quality, and utility.
